Sibling Trip, Part 4

And now, to finally finish the posts about my trip to Indiana...

Tuesday morning we got up early and headed back to Valpo, this time with Rachel and the two kids.

We were all glad to see Christina again, especially the kids!

She's such a sweet, fun aunt!

We enjoyed lots of great music.

Then we all walked over to this amazing park right across the street called ValPLAYso.

We all had a blast!

After the park we came back from lunch and then nap time. Rachel and the kids left to make the two hour drive back home. Lauren was a big fan of Benjamin's childhood stuffed animal, Roscoe.

After Rachel and the kids left, Benjamin, Christina, Timmy and I drove to downtown Valpo. We started off walking around Valparaiso University a little. Benjamin is a professor there, and it was neat getting to see his office. 

Valpo is such a cute town, and it was fun getting to walk around and see the little shops and restaurants. As we were walking around, we made sure to get a picture with the famous Orville Redenbacher. We also stopped for drinks and appetizers at a really cool restaurant called Valley Kitchen and Bar. Then we can back to Benjamin and Christina's place where they made us another delicious dinner and we hung out and watched Arrested Development.

The next morning Christina made us chocolate strawberry crepes. Such a fun treat!

We didn't have to get to the airport until the afternoon, so we went to this gorgeous area and walked around a lake in the morning.

Right away we saw three families of geese. One of the families had around fourteen babies, which is so unusual. We made sure to give them lots of room, but you can see one parent is still hissing at us. We also saw frogs and turtles. It was SO beautiful there and a wonderfully relaxing way to end our trip. We went back to Benjamin and Christina's place for a quick lunch and then headed to the airport.

Timmy and I had such a blast getting to visit our siblings in Indiana. A big thanks to our wonderful hosts for the trip and to my mom for watching the kids while I was gone. When I got home, Andy told me that we should do it more often so hopefully this is just the first trip of many!
