March Madness

Andy's annual March Madness trip was last week. He flew into Philadelphia on Tuesday and spent Wednesday hanging out with this cutie.

They built forts and played Legos.

And of course battled with Nerf guns.

Thursday morning four of the guys took a road trip to Maryland where they rented a house for the long weekend. Reunited with Dave Logan and it feels so good!

The house was pretty amazing with the Chesapeake Bay right out the window. Unfortunately, March is still quite cold, so they had to enjoy the view of the bay from inside the house.

They also had quite the set up inside to watch all the games.

Unlike the years when all the guys would come out to Andy's parents' house in Phoenix for March Madness, now the guys have to fend for themselves for their meals.

Thankfully they've got some pretty great cooks among them. Davelogan and Timmy made some mean pizzas and grilled burgers and fajitas, Bauer made some amazing pork, and Mac whipped up breakfast. Andy's contribution was doing the dishes.

In addition to all the basketball they watch, they always play lots of games. The games are usually the social deduction/hidden identity-style games, so by the end of the weekend boys are all pathological liars. Codenames, shown above, was new this year.

It's quite the boys' weekend!

This is the whole crew minus two other guys that left early (Chris and Mark): Timmy, Dave Logan, Bauer, Max (Sarah's brother), Mac, and Andy.

They drove back to Philly on Sunday and had some time to hang out at the park with Hank. They played a lot of make-believe Star Wars.

Andy got some more time with Hank on Monday before his flight, and then Timmy and Hank drove Andy to the airport.

Later Timmy sent this picture to Andy of how Hank looked after they said goodbye to Andy. I think his face sums up how all the guys felt after their March Madness weekend was over.
