Hannah's Golden Birthday

Our Hannah Belle was eight on March 8 and we had an eight-day celebration starting with the Sunday before her birthday. She invited four of her friends over for a little party. Hannah always requests a craft for her birthday because in her words, "It's not a birthday party without a craft!" Thanks to Pinterest and all the jars I've collected we had an easy, cheap craft.

After the craft, the girls wanted to play "Freeze Dance."

It's basically a dance party with a side of "Red Light, Green Light" thrown in.

DJ Joey was in charge of the music, and he was also the judge. Some kid at school gave him these cat headphones and he loves them!

Freeze!

Of course Hannah was really excited about opening presents.

She ended up getting six(!) new Beanie Boos and a bunch of other fun, girly things.

Speaking of Beanie Boos, Hannah wanted all the girls to wear their pjs and bring their favorite stuffed animals. It was like a sleepover minus the sleeping part!

After presents the girls watched a movie (Trolls), had pizza and made ice cream sundaes. This was almost exactly what we did for Hannah's party last year and it makes for a fun, easy party!

After the movie, the girls all went home, and Joey surprised Hannah with a scavenger hunt he made up for her. It was darling.

It ended in the bathroom with a package of sixty new gel pens. I love how excited Ellie is! What a great start to her birthday week!
