Hannah's Golden Birthday...Continued

Hannah's real birthday was on Wednesday...8 on the 8th!

After our traditional birthday donuts we headed to...the dentist! Ha! I did ask her about a week earlier if she wanted me to change the kids' dentist appointments so that they weren't on her birthday, but she loves the dentist so she was fine with it. That is, until they told her she needed to start braces. That made her a little teary. At least she got a free electric toothbrush for coming in on her birthday!

Sadly, Hannah has pretty much outgrown the toy aisle at Target or Walmart, so for her birthday shopping trip she wanted to go to Justice to pick out some clothes. Between a coupon and some sales, we scored some killer deals!

After we got back from Justice, Andy and Hannah headed to her softball practice. Joey, Ellie and I met them at The Habit afterwards for her birthday dinner.

She mostly picked The Habit for their $1 ice cream cones. They are huge!

On Sunday, our eighth day of celebrating Miss Hannah, we had both sets of grandparents over for dinner and presents. Our wonderfully sweet neighbor Mrs. Farmer gave the girls matching t-shirts for Hannah's birthday, and the girls were thrilled about getting to match from head (pony tails) to toe (white socks!).

Unfortunately we only got pictures of Hannah opening presents. It drives me crazy when I miss out on awesome photo ops like my kids with both sets of grandparents. Oh well. We were all together and it was wonderful.

As usual, Hannah requested orange chicken for dinner. I also made shrimp wontons, Egg Drop soup, and an Asian broccoli slaw salad.

Then for dessert we tried out these Snickerdoodle Cookie Bars. They were amazing!

And with that, our eight day birthday week was over. It was such a sweet week celebrating our Hannah Banana Rama Shama!
