Andy and I both graduated from Grove City College. When alumni have babies, the college sends a little t-shirt as a gift. If you send a picture of your little one in the t-shirt, they publish it in the alumni magazine. It's fun seeing pictures of babies whose parents I knew in college.

I finally got my act together and took this picture today. If you receive the GCC Alumni Magazine, be sure to keep your eye out for Joey. It shouldn't be hard to find him, just look for the cutest kid on the page. Okay, I'm kind of kidding.

I think that we are the only family in America that goes on vacation to Phoenix in July. Andy, Joey and I spent the past few days with Andy's parents for the 4th of July. This year the 4th of July was their hottest day of the year. I think it got to 116 degrees!

We had a fantastic time with Andy's parents. We mostly just hung out, played in the pool, ate lots of great food, drank some delicious margaritas, and slept!

Joey slept better there than he does at home! Weird kid! He took two 2 hour naps everyday and slept great through the night. One of my favorite parts of our vacation was after I nursed Joey in the morning, Andy's parents took him so I could go back to sleep. That was lovely! I also got to take a nap almost everyday. Talk about a vacation!

Andy's parents have two Golden Retrievers. It was really fun watching Joey and the dogs interact. The dogs were both really sweet to him. The younger dog, Octavian, would go over to Joey and lick his face a lot. It was really cute. I thought it might freak out Joey, but he was fine with it. Sometimes he even laughed. If the dogs were lying around, Joey would go over and pet them. It's so nice that he's getting used to dogs so early on in life.

Who ever thought white grout was a good idea?! Granted, it looks nice (when it's actually white), but the person that came up with the idea must have known he would never have to clean it.

To be honest, we've lived in our house for two months now, and it never really registered to me that we had white grout until recently. I just thought we had gray grout. Gray grout...now that's an idea I can get behind! Unfortunately I noticed that the grout in the less tread upon areas was quite white and did not have that "weathered" look.

Last week I decided to attack our gray grout with a toothbrush. The toothbrush ended up losing half its bristles in the fight, but our grout looks amazing. In fact we had some people over for dinner the other night, and they asked if we put in new tile when we moved in. Andy proudly told them that I just cleaned it really well.

Well as a full time mom and homemaker, I have to say, I'm quite excited about my domestic victory!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to my uncle and aunt's house for my cousin's birthday party. It was during Joey's nap time so we brought his little play pen and put him down for a nap in the back room. At one point my sister went to check on him, and found that he had fallen asleep like this. He was sitting crying and I guess finally fell asleep. He's done this a couple of times since then. What a goof ball!

I've been having trouble staying motivated to post now that my family is all back in town for the summer. I also can't imagine that many people read or care about my little blog, but I will try to stick with it!

Here's a picture of Joey with Grandpa. As you can see, he loves to stand. He constantly pulls himself up to a standing position and now even sidles along the couch. He's crawling like a pro, and we're a little worried that he's going to be walking before long. Then we'll be in big trouble!
