Our Week with Sarah

 

Joey's girlfriend, Sarah, came to visit us from Saratoga Springs, NY. Before she flew out to California, the farthest west she had ever been was Ohio! 

We had heard that Sarah was tall, so we were curious to see how she and Hannah compared. They are almost exactly the same height.

That Sunday it happened to be the first Sunday of the month when we host our church's youth group, so Sarah got to join us for that. We had a big game of Family Feud.

On Monday, Joey and Sarah went to the zoo for the day.

They stopped by La Jolla Cove on their way home to see the sea lions.

Tuesday we had Ellie's 8th grade promotion.

That night, Sarah and Joey went to the top of Double Peak mountain for the sunset.

Then they brought home In-N-Out for dinner.

On Wednesday, these four and I drove down to Coronado for lunch.

After lunch, we walked around the little shops on the main street.

Then we made our way to the Hotel Del Coronado.

The day couldn't have been more beautiful!

The next day was our big beach day, and unfortunately that day was much cooler and cloudier.

Sarah left the next day. We had a great week getting to know her.
