Camera Dump

My friends and I volunteered to help decorate for the middle school dance. We had helped the kids make the decorations during ASB for the month or so leading up to the dance, and then we helped put it all together the day of the dance. It turned out so well! 

At some point, Mr. Powell, the assistant principal, got these girls out of school early to come help.

I was watching a friend's son one day and the girls wanted to go to the beach in the afternoon. We all went to Oceanside Harbor. 

It was early in May, but it turned out to be such a lovely day at the beach.

The girls were the only ones out swimming in the ocean.

Ellie's FNL flag football season came to an end with a disappointing loss in the first round of the playoffs, but it was a very fun season. These dads always hung out in the back together. 

There was a food truck out in our neighborhood one Saturday morning that was selling donuts, so of course Andy and Ellie had to get some.

We had an auction at our church to raise money for missions, and Andy and I won two tickets to see "The Play that Goes Wrong" at Lamb's Players Theater in Coronado. The show was hilarious, and we had the best time! 

Joey is home for the summer! We're very excited to have him back until August! 

The day after Joey got home, it was Andy's birthday. Ellie made him this great card. Andy loves doing the 6-7 joke.

Hannah made him a card based on the Phish concert Andy went to in Las Vegas.

We went to see our friend Jenna play one of the stepsisters in Cinderella at Calvin. It was so cute seeing all of the little girls in the audience dressed up in princess dresses. We ran into one of our favorite little girls, Noelle.

Mother's Day!

Hannah made me this beautiful card inspired by all of my favorite books/movies and mug.

 Noelle, who we saw at Calvin, is in our Sunday school class. She thought it was so great that she and Andy wore the same jacket to church one Sunday.

Just like Joey two years ago, Hannah got her wisdom teeth out once her AP tests were all over.

2 kids down, 1 kid to go!

Little Caleb, who is not so little anymore, graduated from high school so Andy and I went to his graduation party. I've known Caleb and his older brother Isaac since they were toddlers when their mom and I did Moms of Preschoolers together. Andy ended up coaching both of them in different seasons of rec basketball. Caleb is off to join his brother at Dordt University in Iowa next year.

Hannah and I went to another graduation party for her good friend, Lyric. Lyric, her sister London, and Hannah were a tight threesome. Now that Lyric is graduating and Ellie is going to be in high school, we joke that instead of two Louises and a Lanzone, it will be two Lanzones and a Louis.

Ellie had a fun last day of school and got to hang out with her favorite group of friends after school.

One of the moms took them to Chipotle. 

The cats now go outdoors during the day. It was funny to see Millie on the front step greeting me when I got home.

While Hannah was recovering from oral surgery, Joey and Ellie had a beach day together in their grandpa's car.

We went to one more graduation party, this time all five of us. Our friends, the Stehlys, are party of a large family that owns 800 acres of land in Valley Center. They have a ranch house on the property where they host big parties. This graduation party was for a bunch of the cousins in the family. Grace and Gianna, Hannah and Ellie's friends, were graduating from high school and 8th grade. The party was so fun with delicious food, swing dancing and line dancing!
