Seven and a Half

Our little Elle-Bells turned 7 1/2 on Friday! 

We were taking about Ellie's half birthday with my side of the family and we were guessing how long she would be into celebrating her birthday in June. We know of one girl born on Christmas who stopped doing half birthdays in upper elementary school. So far though, Ellie is REALLY pumped about her half birthday celebration. Andy joked that Ellie's husband is going to have to pick up donuts when she's 37 1/2.

Ellie seems to have fully embraced June 28th as her special day. She even had a birthday outfit planned. 

I love that we get to celebrate in the summer because pool parties are the best! She invited four friends over for swimming, snacks and cookies (she is not a cake person!).

She has a group of very sweet friends: Isabella, Emma, Ellie, Cameron, Victoria. Other than Cameron, all of these girls were in Ellie's class this year.

For dinner that night, Ellie picked The Habit.

Sunday evening we had my parents come over for her family birthday dinner.

And more presents! 

She loved this unicorn shirt that Hannah got her.

For the present from us, Ellie picked out this mermaid suit and tail.

It arrived Monday, and we headed to the pool to try it out. She loved it! It's fun that she gets to use it all summer!
